Worship Roles
Altar Guild: The Altar Guild works in teams to prepare the altar for communion each week and clean up after communion. Christy Poston is the directress. There is a need for more help at both services
Communion Assistants and Lay Readers: Communion Assistants and Lay Readers are coordinated by Gayle Davis for the 8:30 Service and Marie Giddens for the 11:00 Service. These faithful workers read the scriptures and assist in serving communion. They are organized on a weekly basis. Again more volunteers are needed.
Ushers: Ushers work as teams month by month. George Teigland coordinates these volunteers. Ushers participate in greeting worshipers, passing out bulletins, collecting offering and assisting with communion
Crucifers and Acolytes: Crucifers and Acolytes are coordinated by Bernie Milligan. Crucifers bring the cross in to worship and exit. Acolytes light and extinguish the altar candles and the Pascal candle when needed. These responsibilities are filled by the youth of our church. Many more volunteers are needed.
