Yesterday as I shared some thoughts in the Daily Messenger, I sked each of you to take some time and think about where you see God at work in the situation of pandemic with all the suffering it entails. I want to share mine- we had the good news that we received over $1,000 from members to help us restock our Micah’s Backpack supplies. I am humbled by your faithfulness and your generosity! And thank you to those who donate time and energy to packing things up and making sure food is delivered to those children who would go hungry otherwise. God is at work in the world, in our neighborhood through you.

Ask God to keep us mindful of and responsive to our neighbors who are suffering financially, are unemployed or are trying to keep their businesses viable as a result of the spread of the coronavirus. Pray that we are aware of how our lives and struggles are interwoven with those of others and how our health and well-being rely on our shared care, concern, generosity and support for one another.
