Ask God to help us understand that force, vengeance, wealth disparity and dominance over others are inconsistent with God’s justice and power, and that these are revealed to us through Jesus’ life and teaching, which exemplify humility, compassion, generosity, service, love without prejudice and advocacy for neighbors in need.
