6Blessed be the LORD,
for he has heard the sound of my pleadings.
7The LORD is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts;
so I am helped, and my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him.
Psalm 31: 6-7
Give praise to God, for God’s word is powerful, clear, true and trustworthy.

Even though we wish we could see all that is to come this year, let’s loosen our tight grips of control and with open palms, trust in God because His goodness, love, and faithfulness are real.
Lord, there is so much ahead of us that we can’t foresee, so much we wish we could control but can’t. We hold all the unknowns, questions, desires, and longings out to you. We want to trust you, but we acknowledge that we need help with that sometimes. Help us to trust you with the year ahead,and thank you that we can be anchored in faith when we are tethered to you. In your name we pray, Amen.
