Thank God for opportunities to enjoy nature, whether in a wilderness area, urban park, community garden or forest preserve. Give thanks for how nature and fresh air renew us and lift our spirits, and pray that our neighbors with mobility challenges can get outdoors to experience and enjoy the blessings of creation.

In the midst of the wrenching circumstances of pandemic and protest, it’s easy to forget the good things of creation. Take a sabbath moment to enjoy God’s good creation.

Sovereign of the universe, your first covenant of mercy was with every living creature. With all the world’s people, may we who are washed into new life through baptism seek the way of your new creation, the way of justice and care, mercy and peace; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
