Pastor Grace came to St Matthews Lutheran Church in January of 2023 to serve as the Redevelopment Pastor, which means she is here to help lead and guide us as we, the whole faith community, listens, acts, and share in God’s mission in the world.

Pastor Grace is a second career pastor and a lifelong Lutheran who hails from St. Paul, Minnesota. She worked in the mental health field before going to Luther Seminary for her Master of Divinity with a concentration in Congregational Mission and Leadership. Pastor Grace is grounded in scripture and lives out her faith through Word and Sacrament, as well as joy.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, as well as an associate degree as a Veterinary Technician. This makes her not only love people and pets but understand what makes them tick. She has a dog – Betty, a 2-year-old rescued “mutt”, who looks like an all-black German shepherd, and is the love of Pastor’s life.

Pastor Grace loves to sing, which she has been doing since she was 5 years old in her church choirs. She also loves cooking new recipes and trying new foods. Mostly, Pastor loves people and hanging out getting to know folks. Having worked as a barista, she is always searching for a great cup of coffee and good conversation.
