I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be “the Church” and more specifically what it means to be St. Matthew’s New Life Lutheran Church.

It feels like we’ve had to put our life together on hold as we’ve distanced ourselves from each other physically. As we return to “in person” worship, we have the opportunity to re-vision what it means to believe the promise that we our indeed “church”, given new life in a new place as we seek to reach out in new ways. Pray for the clear vision of the Spirit as we claim our future in Christ.

8And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
